Got Traffic? So What?

traffic conversion subscribers magnetIf I were to dump a truckload of premium hot-selling vitamins on your lawn today, but you had no idea how to move them, what good would those vitamins be?

The same way, I can send you thousands of visitors to your blog today (theoretically speaking, of course), but Click to Tweetyou have no effective means to convert that traffic into subscribers, why would you want that traffic?

Learning to turn your visitors into subscribers is the single most important thing you can do today to monetize your online business, and you know the best part? It’s entirely UNDER your CONTROL.

Sadly, it looks like the link is no longer working- I just clicked it and got a 404 error. =(

Might there be a replacement, or with their proposed price increase is it just no longer offered? Please let us know, and thank you!

Ana March 18, 2011 at 10:20 am

Hi, Scott – thanks for letting me know; fixed now.

They do close the products sometimes as they want to make sure their servers and customer service can handle the workload, so you have to check back at the working link now to see if it’s open to new clients.

Scott Clendaniel March 18, 2011 at 11:04 am

Thank you so much, Ana!

The good news is that the link is working- yay!!! The bad news is that it looks like I missed the boat. The landing page shows the original price of $147, even after I add it to the cart. Boo! (just kidding, thanks for making the original offer available!!!)

Ana March 18, 2011 at 11:09 am

Just wait a bit – they usually go down to $97 every once in a while. :)

Scott Clendaniel March 18, 2011 at 11:12 am

Have I mentioned that you are an AWESOME human being?! If not, shame on me!!! :D

Thank you yet again!

I have been thinking about buying Subscribers Magnet, but it’s a bit expensive. And since I am using the disqus comment system, it seems that I can’t use all the features of the product.

I am testing various methods to convert my visitors into subscribers, but so far, the only thing that works (without annoying my visitors too much) are optin forms in both the sidebar and just below the blog posts. I am doing both.

Ana March 18, 2011 at 10:17 am

I do agree that Subscribers Magnet is not the least expensive option out there, Jens.

I always way the benefits I get from using the product against the cost, which I am sure you do as well, and for me this was a win-win.

Have you seen my list building week I’ve done a week or two ago on TGC? Lots of great list building tips.

Ana February 16, 2011 at 11:13 am

Theoretically, it’s the chicken or the egg issue.

However, I firmly believe that before you start driving traffic, you’d better know how to convert them.

Lou Barba February 16, 2011 at 9:47 am

Hi Ana,

I watched the video and the Subscribers magnet seems like a real good product. One of the team leaders for my core product provide a very basic tool similar to this. It doesn’t have all the features that SM has, so I’ll think about making this a part of my blog. Thanks.

Lou

You’ve got all the info you need to make a decision on this one, Lou. Whatever you choose, thanks for coming by!

Yo Anna

So true, no list = no business

If you cant convert your traffic to relationships, youre dead..

Ana February 16, 2011 at 11:24 am

I love how you put it, Jack: convert traffic to relationships… Exactly right!

Lali Sandhu February 15, 2011 at 10:06 pm

hey Ana,

I agree with you that most marketers focus on the problem and that is getting traffic and not on the solution and that is the converting them into subscribers or leads or getting them to buy the products or whatever. And yes subscibers Magnet is a cool tool and I own it and I have yet to install it.

Ana February 16, 2011 at 11:22 am

How about putting it on your to-do list today? :) You own it, might as well start using it.

Jane February 15, 2011 at 9:23 pm

Hi Ana,

MBP Subscriber magnet is for increasing subscription rates; I know that much. Thanks for the recommendation, let me check out their video.

Jane.

Ana February 16, 2011 at 11:20 am

You are welcome, Jane. I think we all could use more subscribers. :)

Craig Sowerby February 15, 2011 at 4:01 pm

Hi Ana,

I already have a plugin that is similar to the max magnet. Digi List Builder which I got from a WSO but it is now $97. I do have some other plugins from the Max Blog series and I am happy with them.

So if I did not already have a similar plugin then I would probably go for the Max Magnet.

Ana February 16, 2011 at 11:17 am

Thanks for letting me know about Digi List Builder, Craig – it’s always good to know there are options out there.

Damita February 15, 2011 at 3:08 pm

Wonderful, informative video Ana! You’re beautiful as ever! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your clients and friends!

Ana February 16, 2011 at 11:13 am

Thanks so much, Damita – so kind of you! :)

Sheila Atwood@www.newbielifeline.com February 15, 2011 at 11:00 am

Ana,

I have Subscribers Magnet and a few other MaxBlogPress products. I could not be happier. Every tool is easy to use and covers all of the bases (many I would never had thought of). I love that he has included easy ways to keep stats.

I am a happy happy customer.

Ana February 15, 2011 at 8:25 pm

I am with you, Sheila – not many products are worth it, but MBP does a great job coming up with great stuff!

Lisa February 15, 2011 at 10:18 am

I just love your accent and the captions were priceless!! I have to say that subscribers magnet being closed for awhile and now re opened…this is the time to act on it.
You do a spendid job of not cramming products down our throats…dont ever fret over that Ana!

Ana February 15, 2011 at 8:22 pm

Thanks, Lisa! :)

You know, my accent never sounds this thick to me and then I listen to myself on video – yikes! Oh, well, I’ll use what I have. :)

Mavis Nong @ Attraction Marketing February 15, 2011 at 10:17 am

Best recommendation ever, Ana! I’m so glad that I bought Subscribers Magnet when you recommended it a while ago :)

It’s definitely a must-have tool for anyone who is serious about exploding the subscription rate on their blogs!

Loved the video! :)

Mavis

Ana February 15, 2011 at 8:20 pm

Glad you’ve enjoyed it, Mavis – your blog seems to be doing so well, this plugin only enhances what you already have.

Alex Neill @ super affiliate February 15, 2011 at 9:21 am

Hey Ana

Wow you look so different from your website header!

Probably cos this is the first time I have watched you in a video.

My traffic is converting very well so I am pleased with my current results, I have not tried the magnet one as yet so certainly a product I will be testing out.

Thanks Alex

Ana February 15, 2011 at 10:11 am

So I see you have:

1. Popup Domination
2. Footer optin
3. The “roll-over” ad (no idea what it’s actually called :) )
4. 2 opt-in forms above fold.

I can definitely see why you don’t need Subscribers Magnet, Alex. :)

How’s your list quality?

Patricia February 15, 2011 at 8:39 am

Hi Ana

Thanks for sharing with us on the video the tools you use to convert traffic into subscribers. Appreciated.

Give your readers something free..and then they subscribe to your blog or list..free is the way to go..

“Black Seo Guy “Signing Off”

Ana February 15, 2011 at 10:03 am

Free is good, but then your readers get used to getting things for free.

Blogging is a business (at least my blog is), and I think it’s important to remind our readers of that.

Thanks for coming by!

Robert Dempsey February 15, 2011 at 7:18 am

Ah nice affiliate post Ana. Great stuff. And it’s true – all the traffic on the Internets is meaningless unless you can convert the right people into leads and customers.

Ana February 15, 2011 at 10:02 am

Thanks, Robert. It’s the art form I am still learning about – offering the products I love, yet not pushing them into people’s faces.

How did I do?

PS Would love a new guest post from you; you are so good at it!

Robert Dempsey February 15, 2011 at 5:29 pm

I think you did great. And as for a new guest post I have a to-do list to come up with a new idea for one. I want to be sure I have one that fits with your readers here and your theme before I propose it. Thanks Ana.
